Stars of TV shows 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'Mad Men' are set to bring some major star power to the Hudson Valley. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports Josh Radnor, who played Ted Mosby and John Slattery aka Roger Sterling will be directing plays at Vassar's Powerhouse Theater this summer.

Radnor will direct his first play, 'Sacred Valley' while Slattery will direct a new play from Loren Haynes called 'Good Grief'. According to their website, the Powerhouse Theater is used as an incubator for artists looking to develop their work. Numerous plays that have graced their stage have gone on to achieve success across the globe.

The 2016 season kicks off June 24th and runs through the end of July. This marks the 32nd annual Powerhouse Season. Since 1985, Vassar has collaborated with New York Stage and Film to put on shows for the Hudson Valley and beyond.
