A 62-year-old man is accused of ordering the attack where a Hudson Valley man was beaten by baseball bats and tossed off a porch. As Saugerties police continued to investigate the beating of a 32-year-old man from Rhinebeck they allege that Vincent Neg-lia Sr., ordered the attack. Three others were arrested, accused of the beating, after police found video of the baseball bat attack.
The Tennessee couple that fled to the Hudson Valley after allegations of attempted murder and kidnapping were arrested after over two months on the run. In late June, Jarret Heitmann and Makayla Stillwell were spotted in Pine Bush and may have been in the Bloomingburg area. They were later seen just outside Orange County at the Walmart in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. The couple was finally found and arrested this past week in New Orleans.
10 sharks were found inside a Hudson Valley home. Officials say they found 7 live sandbar sharks, 2 dead leopard sharks and a dead hammer shark at a Lagrangeville home. The live sharks were kept in a 15-foot above ground pool that was kept in the home’s basement. The incident is under investigation. No Charges have been announced.
A Hudson Valley man who was considered armed and dangerous, was found dead. Police say Paul Maldonado’s dead body was found in a wooded area in Ulster County, in what appears to be a suicide. The 38-year-old was wanted for attempted murder after he allegedly shot at someone he knew outside of a bar in the Village of Catskill.
A Hudson Valley man was arrested after a local dog, a families pet, was shot to death. On Wednesday an American pitbull terrier named chopper was found dead in Germantown. Police say the dog died from multiple pellet wounds from a pellet gun. On Thursday, 23-year-old Michael Jennings was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony.
