Today is the Top Day of the Year for Robocalls

As if it's not bad enough that today is also tax day!

Yes today is the day that you need to make sure that your taxes are done but it's also the day of the year that most of us can expect to get one of those really annoying robocalls.

According to the website INC, they did a study that looked at more than one billion phone calls from last year (2018) and found that Tax Day April 15th had the most scam robocalls.

Do you remember getting one last year? Their study said that 43% of Americans got one on this day last year. Why?

They said that most scammers like a day like today because most of us are on edge about whether or not we did our taxes the right way, or if we made any mistakes when we filed.

With all of that in mind, we are all a little more open to getting a call from someone posing as the IRS asking for personal information or money.

As a reminder for today and everyday, NEVER give any of your personal information to anyone over the phone until you double check who they are and if they are legit or not.
