So in case you missed the announcement let me start by saying George Strait is coming to the north east this summer. The announcement was made a few days ago and the tickets officially go on sale Friday (Today March 29th) for George Strait with Blake Shelton at Gillette Stadium on August 17, 2019. Of all the show you want to see this summer this one has to be one of the biggest.

This show will be one night only in Foxborough Massachusetts and appears to be George Strait's only north east date. The King of Country will be joined by Blake Shelton, Cody Johnson and Caitlyn Smith. Ticket go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10am and I am going to predicted they sell out fast.

According to the Gillette Stadium website, this will be George Strait's only show in New England since his stop at Gillette Stadium in 2014 on his "Cowboy Rides Away Tour". You may recall that is when George announced he wasn't going to tour any long but would continue to play select dates. I believe that August 17th is one of those said dates.

I can still remember the first and only time I saw George Strait in concert, it was in Albany at what was then the Pepsi Arena, now the Times Union Center. We had great seats and George played in the round so every four songs you felt like you were in the front row. With 30 years of music to play and 60 singles at the top of the charts I am sure the show will be worth the 4 hour trip out 90 or 84 to 495. And that's just to see George. Don't forget he will be joined by our favorite coach on The Voice Blake Shelton who just put on an amazing show last weekend in Albany.
