It is fun to say and will be fun to do at Angry Orchard on Saturday February 22nd and Sunday February 23rd. Don't miss the annual Angry Orchard WASSAIL hosted by Angry Orchard and the Shawangunk Wine Trail. Both day you are invite to come out to Angry Orchard 2241 Albany Post Road in Walden to enjoy an old orchard tradition.

Angry Orchard will be celebrating their Third Annual bottle release of their Wassail Wooden Sleeper along with a time honored tradition from orchards in southern England. Wassailing is practiced in cider orchards in southern England during the winter. An old folktale from Somerset tells the story of this tradition that honors the oldest tree in the orchard with whom the orchards fertility is thought to reside.

Angry Orchard has planned tours through the orchard. Their will be live music and dancing with The Bunker Boys. Cider tastings and more will all be part of the day. Wassail tours will go out at 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm. Your can also enjoy a wassail cider cocktail in and Angry Orchard mug that you can keep.

March out into the orchard and circle around one of their oldest trees. Join in for the classic Wassail chants and send all the bad spirits out of the orchard for the up coming season. Tours are 21 and up but the celebration in the cider house is family friendly.
