If you sign up or had planned to sign up for exams being offered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation please check their schedule. This week they announced that they have move 3 of the exams to August.

The April 3, 2020 exams for Falconry, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Leashed Tracking licenses are now rescheduled for August 14, 2020. The NYS DEC stated in a press release that out of an abundance of caution and to limit the spread of COVID-19 they will be postponing these examines. These exams were to be offered statewide.

The plan now is to offer the exams later this year at most of the DEC Regional Offices. If you are currently registered for the April 3rd exams you can contact the Special Licenses Unit at 518-402-8985 or email SpecialLicenses@dec.ny.gov to register for August 14th. Anyone else who wants to register can do so by visiting DEC Special Licenses Unit and complete the registration form.  Applicants can mail, fax, or email the completed form to: NYSDEC Special Licenses Unit, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-4752; fax: 518-402-8925; email: SpecialLicenses@dec.ny.gov.
