The New York Mets' Matt Harvey has been on the disabled list since July 15, after a stress injury to his shoulder. He begins his rehab this weekend, and his journey back to the majors will bring him through the Hudson Valley.

Harvey's been assigned with the Class-A Brooklyn Cyclones who will be coming to Duchess Stadium Saturday to take on the Hudson Valley Renegades, according to the Poughkeepsie journal.

Harvey's had an okay season so far, though some say it's way below his usual output. So far for 2017, he's 4-3 in 13 starts, with an 5.25 ERA. Injuries and some personal issues have been dogging him over the past two years which may explain his recent struggles. This, of course comes after he helped lead the Mets to the 2015 World Series.

Still though, it's exciting news to have a big name Major League star here in the Hudson Valley. It should be a fun time to head to Duchess Stadium Saturday evening, that is if the weather holds out. Right now, they're saying to expect highs in the upper 70s with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Might want to bring an umbrella just in case.

The Renegades are 24-25 going into Thursday's game.
