update:  The heat advisory will kick again from 12pm on 7/4/18 to 10pm.

The hot weather will continue for the Fourth of July.  It won’t be as hot as it has been and you will notice the humidity is a bit lower.  There are no heat advisory or heat warnings issued at this time.  There are some isolated storms and showers in the forecast, but the really end of the heatwave comes on Friday.

A strong cold front will track into the Hudson Valley and bring much cooler conditions for the weekend.  Temperatures should top out in the 80’s, with plenty of sunshine.  The humidity won’t be bad either.

Besides from a little heat, the Fourth of July doesn’t look bad for any of your plans.

Here’s the latest forecast from The National Weather Service:

Wednesday:  Partly sunny, high near 89.  Isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday night:  Mostly cloudy, low around 70.  Isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday:  Mostly sunny and hot, high near 91.  Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Friday.  Mostly cloudy, high near 83, with showers likely.  Possible thunderstorms could pop up.
