It's today!

If you are a smoker today is the day that could change the rest of your life by putting down cigarettes for the last time. Every year on the third Thursday of November the Great American Smokeout event is the day that we can start our journey toward a smoke-free life according to American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society says that if you decide to take part, you’ll be joining thousands of people who smoke across the country in taking an important step toward a healthier life and reducing your risk of getting cancer.

There are so many statistics that show us all how bad smoking is for us including, that 34 million Americans still smoke cigarettes, smoking causes an estimated 480,000 deaths every year. They also say that smoking remains the single largest preventable cause of death and illness in the world.

If you would like to try and put down the smokes, you can start your journey here and if you are a former smoker, we would love to hear your story. Call or text us through the Wolf app and let us know how you quit. How long have you been smoke free?

Listen to the Wakin' Up With CJ and Jess Show weekday mornings from 6AM to 10AM on The Wolf. Stream us live through the website, Alexa-enabled device, Google Home or The Wolf mobile app.
