Scammers are impersonating grandchildren to con the elderly into sending gift cards or money transfers for "emergencies" like medical care, rent, bail, & more.

There are too many grandparents getting scammed via phone or email. Here are a few things the New York State Police Department say to do when you get that scary phone call:
