Storm King Highway Closed

UPDATE: This will now be closed until July 8th

If you travel on Route 218 between Cornwall on Hudson and West Point you need to find another route for the next couple of days.

According to the Times Herald Record, a popular shortcut to and from West Point had to be closed on Monday because of falling debris. The Department of Transportation had to close the roadway around 7:30 Monday morning so the debris could be cleared.

The DOT has said that the roadway will be closed until at least Friday so that they can clean up the debris and make sure that the roadway is safe for travel.

The DOT is asking that drivers who use the shortcut to please find an alternate route until at least Friday.
