
Store Robbed at Gunpoint in Poughkeepsie, Suspect Sought
Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a store at gunpoint early Tuesday morning in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is currently investigating an early morning robbery at a small convenience store in Poughkeepsie, NY.

According to the City of Poughkeepsie PBA Facebook page, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department was called to respond to a report of a robbery at the Mill Street Market, at 195 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday, March 18th at approximately 12:52 a.m.

As multiple units rushed to the scene and arrived on the scene it was reported that a male suspect had entered the store, brandishing a gun and demanding cash from the cashier. Police said that once the suspect grabbed the cash, they fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. Police didn't say if the suspect stole any other items during the robbery nor did they provide a description of the suspect but they did say that responding officers canvassed the area near the store but were unable to apprehend the suspect.
Investigation Underway
Police said that this is an active investigation and that City of Poughkeepsie crime scene technicians have investigated the scene but didn't provide any other details.
