
Spring Turkey Hunting Season Starts This Week
If you're a hunter, you know that tomorrow is a big day. If you're new to hunting then this might be useful news.
This Wednesday, May 1st, is the official start to Turkey Hunting Season in New York State. According to the Department of Environmental Conservation, the 2019 season begins this Wednesday and will run until May 31st.
The DEC also reports that the season bag limit is, two bearded turkeys (one bird per day).
Hunting is permitted starting one-half hour before sunrise and lasts until noon.
As a reminder the DEC encourages Turkey hunters to go over the Turkey hunting seasons rules and regulations on their website. Also as reminder if you haven't gotten your Hunting License yet, one is needed.
