Test Your Grit This Fall At The 2025 Spartan Race In New Hampton

Those looking for a challenge in the Hudson Valley wont have to go too far this fall. The Office of County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus shared in a press release that the infamous and rugged, Spartan Race will take place this fall in New Hampton. 

According to Orange County Executive Neuhaus, he was approached by military friends asking if Orange County would be interested in hosting a Spartan Race. Meetings were then held to "determine what requirements would be" and Orange County was able to narrow down a few locations to accommodate the gritty race.

This year the Tri-State New York Spartan Event Weekend will run from October 18th through the 19th at Sunflower Valley Farm in New Hampton.

After news broke, Sunflower Valley Farm wrote on Facebook "From dairy roots to obstacle course races, our farm has seen it all — and we’re thrilled to welcome thousands of athletes and fans to experience this one-of-a-kind weekend on our land."

Executive Neuhaus said in a statement "Bringing the Spartan Race here is a huge win for our community. " He goes on to add:

Events like this create real excitement, boost our local economy, and put Orange County on the map as a must-visit destination. We can’t wait to cheer on the athletes and welcome visitors to experience everything we have to offer!

So what should we expect at the 2025 Tri-State New York Spartan Race this fall?

What To Expect at The Spartan Race This Year in New Hampton, NY

The Spartan Race website is letting racers know they should expect "a fast and muddy course with rugged creek runs and signature Spartan obstacles that will test your grit, speed, and determination."

Sunflower Valley Farm in New Hampton will be equipped with 25 obstacles like Climb Walls, Barbed Wire Crawl, Climbing Ropes, Plate Drags and more.

Your endurance will be tested and you push through the challenging course.

There are a few race options. They include:

The Sprint 5K - 20 Obstacles
Super 10K - 25 Obstacles
The Kids Race + Obstacles
2025 Trifecta Pass

How Many Spartan Races Will Be In New York This Year?
