You have 2 days until Valentines Day do you know where your candy is? If you have no time and are looking for all your favorites then I suggest you go to the candy store I frequent, CANDY CANDY at Water Street Market in New Paltz. However, if you find you aren't in a rush and homemade is your thing then there is still time to make a favorite Valentine Candy at home. Make your own Conversation Hearts.

Conversation Candy Hearts have been a symbol of Valentines Day my whole life and it is always frustrating to find ones that say the right thing. Some one has always eaten all the "I Love U's" before I get to the pile or worse there isn't one in the box. I am sure you can go online to order custom ones now a days, I mean really, if they can put your face on an M & M they must be able to customize a candy heart. But why buy when you can make? It becomes fun for everyone.

I can't guarantee that they taste as good as the original candy hearts. As a matter of fact they maybe so sweet you only are able to eat one or two. They also seem like they may be softer than the ones you get in the box. But how fun would it be to actually get to give a conversation heart with your own message on it, plus you can pick the colors and the flavors too. So go for it and to cover all bases stop by a local candy store and grab a box of the real ones just in case this recipe is more fun than it tastes. After all it's not Valentines Day with out Conversation Hearts.
