There were a string of burglaries reported over the weekend in Saugerties and the alleged thief has been arrested.

After an investigation on Saturday, the Saugerties Police Department arrested 35 year old Erika Cavallaro around 8PM. There were two reported burglaries in the village of Saugerties. Cavallaro was said to have unlawfully enter a garage on 20 Burt Street where she took a stroller, yard rake and gas can.

It didn't stop there. Police say Cavallaro then continued her crime spree by entering another home on Burt Street. This time she allegedly took a laptop, medication and food. When Cavallaro was taken into custody, she had 40 Percocet pills and other items that had been reported missing from both burglaries, police said.

There are other reports that Cavallaro attempted to break into other homes and vehicles during this time, authorities said. She has been charged with one count of burglary in the second degree, one count of burglary in the third degree, three counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and one count of possession of a controlled substance by ultimate users outside original Container.

Erika Cavallaro is scheduled to appeared in the Saugerties Village court on November 10.
