A local laundromat is hoping the public can help identify a group of young individuals.
Ulster County Laundromat Looking For Young Vandals
Saugerties Laundry, located on Partition Street, is hoping the community can help them locate 4 individuals.
The individuals are seen on security camera vandalizing a vending machine and then taking products from it without payment.
Saugerties Laundry posted on Facebook stating "Looking for help identifying these kids who broke into my vending machine at Saugerties Laundry on Partition Street around 8:25 PM last Friday night (May 2nd, 2025).

Saugerties Laundry Wont Press Charges, But Hopes Individuals Return
The team at Saugerties Laundry shares that they will not be turning this matter over to police.
They write " We’ve all been young once and done stupid things but also, I can’t let this go." Instead of prosecuting, they want the young individuals to come back to the laundromat, apologize and pay restitution.
Saugerties Laundry also adds that 15 minutes prior to the video posted they were "rocking the machine and trying pry open the doors."
Staff from Saugerties Laundry took to the comment section to add "The girl didn’t do anything." They continue
All the boys prior to this video were sticking their arms up the slots, rocking the machine and looking for a way in. Can’t believe they got the door open. They spent a good amount of time there. Weird.
Saugerties Community Divided on Young Vending Machine Thieves
While there hasn't been any update in the case of the vandals, the Saugerties community has come out strong in the comment section of the original post.
One comment reads "Them babies were thirsty. They took 1 each . That's not being greedy, that's being thirsty. Im not sure, but did Trump cut foodstamps?"
"Honestly... you should turn this over to authorities cuz something tells me they're not scared of their parents consequences cuz if they had been they wouldn't have done this in the first place yeah their kids but if they don't learn what real adult consequences is they're going to continue to do this stuff into adulthood.
