There are so many things we are looking forward to doing in 2021 that didn't get to happen in 2020. So many event had to be sidelined due to the COIVD-19 pandemic. Even outdoor sports like dirt track racing had to rethink how they were going to be able to go racing. Hudson Valley dirt tracks did their best last year to bring us racing excitement as often as they could even if it had to be virtual.

All of our hopes are that the 2021 racing season will be different than 2020. Today Governor Cuomo lifted some restrictions on attendance at events and arenas. Hopefully as time goes on this will only improve. No matter what happens with in person attendance, the Orange County Speedway in Middletown is already planning a rookie series that is going to be exciting for the upcoming season.

On February 3, 2021 the Orange County Fair Speedway shared on their Facebook that they would be holding a Rookie Sportsman Division series this year. Something they hadn't been able to offer since 2018. This division will have 6 individual races starting on April 10, 2021. If the Rookie series is something you think you want to be part of you can contact Doug at ddulgarian@ocfsracing.com.

The Orange County Fair Speedway was constructed in 1857 as a race track for horse racing at the Orange County Fair. It is 5/8 mile hard clay track with a grandstand, an infield and drive in for spectators. The raceway is located at 239 Wisner Avenue in Middletown and operates April thru September.
