The New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is Saturday and Sunday at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck. Their are demonstrations and workshops plus vendors with hand crafted items. You can buy new or old equipment. Tour the barns to visit with all the animals. Come hungry to enjoy delicious food and drinks.

The New York Sheep and Wool Festival runs Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 4pm. If you need something warm for the winter treat yourself to a trip to the fairgrounds. There will be something for everyone to do, even the kids. If you like to knit or weave or even just craft with fiber this gathering is the place for you this weekend. Rug making, needle art, spinning and more are all on display. You can take workshops with master crafts people. Watch herding dogs work. There will also be book signings, a fleece sale and kids activities both days.

The Dutchess County Fairgrounds is an easy place to visit for any event. Located at 6550 Spring Brook Avenue in Rhinebeck, you find that they have plenty of parking and are very handicapped accessible. The grounds are spacious and offer indoor and outdoor venues which means there can be a wide variety of vendors.

The New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is not just for fans of wool and wool craft. Just about everyone will find something to enjoy at this annual two day event.
