Reminder: DWI Crackdown This Weekend
Friendly reminder, you need to be careful for the next couple days.
Dutchess County Executive announced last week that police agencies around Dutchess County and New York State will be cracking down on impaired driving. The Statewide STOP DWI initiative started on December 16th and will conclude on January 2nd. According to a press release in December of 2015 Idrunk driving crashes resulted in 840 unnecessary deaths. Deaths from drunk drive over the past five years have reached almost 4,000. Having visible, highly publicized efforts to STOP-DWI aims to reduce drunk and impaired drivers.
If you're out this weekend enjoying time with family and friends, please be careful and if you're drinking make sure you have a designated driver or call a cab. When holidays come around I think more and more about how useful Uber would be in the Hudson Valley. I consider us a college town/area and it seems as though more and more people are moving to the area.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Enjoy your time together and be safe.
