Ramp Closures This Week on 84 in Fishkill

Plan on an alternate route if you us I-84 in the Fishkill area.   You may have noticed construction going on I-84 in the Fishkill area, especially westbound.  This week, September 17, the New York State Department of Transportation will be closing exit 12 through September 21, according to the Village of Fishkill website.

The exit will remain closed until September 21, at 3pm.  This exit if for Route 52, which takes you into the village of Fishkill.  This is the exit, where the I-84 diner is.  Detours are posted, but NYSDOT says to anticipate delays.

There were no details regarding what specific construction project was going on in the article.  Our research pointed to some bridge work going on in the area.  This is only the westbound direction, not eastbound.

The New York State Department of Transportation reminds motorist to be cautious of these construction zones and pay attention to the flaggers.  You should slow down.  The fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
