Considering today is George Washington's birthday this event seems fitting. New York Democratic Representative Sean Patrick Maloney will be on hand today at 10:30am at the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor. He will introduce legislation that will honor the museum with a commemorative coin. According to a press release, The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Commemorative Coin Act  will "honor the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor as well as the extraordinary sacrifices of America’s service members who were killed or wounded in combat."

Represenative Maloney will be joined by, Assemblyman James Skoufis, County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Orange county Legislator and Navy Veteran Matt Turnball, Orange County Legislator and Orange County Commander of Sons of the American Legion Christopher Eachus, Andy Komonchak the Executive Director of the National Purple Hall of Honor and William Nazario the former Senior Vice Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
