The event is Wednesday August 8th in Ulster County.

At one time or another you have heard about Narcan, which is a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially if someone overdoses, according to Wikipedia.

A bunch of Hudson Valley towns have started to hold training to make sure we know how to use the medication properly.

The Plattekill Fire Department has announced that they will be hosting a Public Narcan Class at the Plattekill Fire Station #2 located at 262 Forest Rd in Wallkill on Wednesday August 8th at 7 p.m.

If you have any questions about the training that's going to be offered and to make this easier for everyone, you can pre-register by calling Jeff at 845-591-9843.

Remember with training like this, you could make the difference in someone’s life.

If you know of any other towns that are offering this really important training, let us know by emailing CJ@Hudsonvalleycountry.com or send us a message on Facebook.
