Poughkeepsie Actor Stars in New Western Movie “Badland”
I think we can officially brand the Hudson Valley, Hollywood on The Hudson. Especially now that we have a bona fide actor from our neck of the woods.
Kevin Makely is a Poughkeepsie native who is now starring in the new movie Badland. The film also features country singer Trace Adkins, Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Mira Sorvino and Wes Studi from Last of The Mohicans.
Not only does Kevin star in the film, he also produced it with his production company Papa Octopus.
Badland follows "Gunslinging detective Matthias Breecher (Kevin Makely) is hired to track down the worst of the Confederate war criminals (played by Adkins, Bruce Dern and Jeff Fahey), with nothing more than his wits and his revolver."
Makely will be in the Hudson Valley Friday, December 6th at the Roosevelt Cinemas in Hyde Park for a special showing of Badland that will continue throughout the weekend.
Get your western movie fix with a little taste of the Hudson Valley sprinkled in this weekend with Badland, nightly showings at 8:20pm.
Badland will be available for purchase on Blu Ray on December 10th and is currently available for streaming through Videos on Demand.
