Police take down a decent sized in home pot growing operation.

According to the Times Herald Record, the Orange County Drug Task Force and the Orange County Sheriff's Special Operations Group served a search warrant at the home of Louis Iribarren, who lives at 41 Schoolhouse Road in Greenville.

During the raid, Police found eight pounds of marijuana, a grow operation with 65 marijuana plants, concentrated marijuana oil, hallucinogenic mushrooms, an unlicensed handgun and around $8,300 in cash.

Police told the Record that they began the investigation after the task force and Deerpark police received information that marijuana and other drugs were being sold from the address.

Iribarren was arrested and charged with second and third degree criminal possession of a weapon, second degree criminal possession of marijuana and third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance all felonies. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, a misdemeanor, as a child was found in the home at the time of the raid. The child was turned over to child protective services.

Iribarren was sent to Orange County Jail without bail.
