Popular Wappingers Falls, New York Restaurant Closing…Temporarily
An award-winning restaurant in Dutchess County is closing, but thankfully it's only for a short time.
Wappingers Falls, NY Restaurant Temporarily Closing
Usually, when we hear that a restaurant is closing it's for unfortunate reasons whether rent was too high or customers just weren't filling in the chairs quite like they used to. Either way, it always hurts to see a local business close.
However, a popular restaurant in Wappingers Falls is closing but planning to open up again soon with big changes.
Flores Tapas Bar on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls is known for their mouthwatering burgers, tacos, and sandwiches, plus their delicious craft cocktails are to die for.
With that being said, earlier this week they gave customers a scare when they posted this photo on social media:
Thankfully they explained that there wasn't much to worry about writing in the caption:
Our doors are closing temporarily for updates to our kitchen. We’re thrilled about the journey ahead for Flores and can’t wait to bring a dash of newness to your dining experience.
Flores then asks customers to share their suggestions and guesses as to what the big changes could be in the comment section. As someone who has enjoyed Flores Tapas Bar a time or two, I'm begging you to keep the churros with Nutella on the menu! I digress.
Keep up with the changes and opening date of Flores Tapas Bar in Wappingers Falls by watching their social media accounts.
2 Popular Dutchess County Bars Closing in April 2024
Thankfully, the Flores closing announcement is just temporary. Over the last 2 weeks, Dutchess County foodies have been dealt an unfortunate hand.
Early in April 2024, it was announced that a Main Street Beacon staple was closing up shop. 18 years ago the Kaplan family opened up Max's on Main and it quickly became one of the more popular bars in Dutchess County.
They even had their own slogan "Meet me at Max's!"
In a social media post, we learned that Owner Richie Kaplan was ready to take on retirement. His son, and General Manager, Jesse Kaplan was "ready for a new adventure." Max's on Main is scheduled to close on April 21st, 2024.
In Wappingers Falls, fans of AJ's Cafe are slowly saying their goodbyes. AJ's Cafe took to social media on April 5th, 2024, to announce they were closing their doors after 10 years.
On Facebook John from AJ's Cafe shared:
First off I wanna say thank you to all of our staff and customers for making AJ’s an amazing place the last 10 years. Unfortunately the time at AJs will be coming to an end on April 27th for a whole list of reasons.
