Pizza Delivery Man Asaulted in Saugerties

A pizza delivery man was assaulted by two teenagers in Mount Marion this past week.

Police told the Daily Freeman that on Sunday the two suspects jumped the victim who had just delivered a pizza to a resident on South Road. The victim told police he was struck in the legs and punched repeatedly.

Craig J. Mayr and Joel Mayr were arrested Monday after the alleged assault. They were charged with the misdemeanor of assault and issued stay-away orders of protection on behalf of the 20-year-old victim.

As a result of the attack, the victim sustained contusions to his head and right eye, in addition to fractured nasal bones.
