Winter Storm Watches have been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley while other local areas are also expected to see snow that will impact travel.

The National Weather Service issued Winter Storm Watches for Sullivan, Ulster, Greene and Delaware counties for Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.

Snow is expected to begin around daybreak Tuesday and become steady by Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Snow, possibly heavy at times, continues Tuesday evening and night before ending by daybreak Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is predicting 6 to 10 inches of snow for Sullivan and Delaware counties and 3 to 7 inches of snow for Ulster and Greene counties.

The National Weather Service also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Orange and Putnam counties Tuesday into Wednesday with 2 to 5 inches of snow forecasted. The higher totals are expected in the northern and western portions of the Orange County, officials say.

The rest of the Hudson Valley is also expected to see snow Tuesday into Wednesday, according to Hudson Valley Weather.

Hudson Valley Weather is forecasting 4 to 10 inches of snow for the Catskills, 2 to 8 inches for the mid and upper Hudson Valley and a coating to 3 inches of snow for the lower Hudson Valley.
