The 35th Annual Orange County Senior Games begin next week and are the longest running program of its kind in the nation. Presented by the Orange County Department of Parks and County Office for the Aging, they offer a wide variety of competitions, contests, museum tours and social activities for men and women, ages 55 and older.

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commissioner James Brooks have announced that the opening ceremonies for the 35th  annual Senior Games will be held at 8 am on Tuesday, September 4, at the Day Camp area at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Campbell Hall.

The games will continue through Sunday, September 9, highlighting some of the many different things that seniors do in the Hudson Valley such as horseback riding, hiking, trap shooting & archery, golf tournament, bingo tournament, bowling, and much more.

The closing ceremonies will be held Sunday, September 9 at 3:30 at the Town of New Windsor Community Center. There will be live music, a reception, and the announcement of the Spirit of the Games winners.
