Highway HELP Truck Involved In Accident on New York Parkway
It seems no matter how often you say it, people still aren't getting the message that you have to slow down and move over.
A New York State HELP Truck Involved in a Crash
I am not sure what the official cause of Saturday's accident on the Northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway was, but there is no doubt that the driver of the car hit the Highway HELP Truck, which was on the side of the road assisting another driver.

The New York State Department of Transportation shared pictures and a post on their Facebook page regarding Saturday's crash. They also took the opportunity to restate the importance of slowing down and moving over. New York State is cracking down on drivers who don't slow down and move over.

We are all in a hurry lately, and that can lead to some poor judgment from being in a rush. Again, the details around the cause of this crash were not made public in the social media post I saw. The New York State Department of Transportation said that the workman in the truck was sent to the hospital, luckily with minor injuries.

The report did say that the driver of the HELP Truck was just moments away from stepping out of his truck. Had he gotten out of the truck, this accident would have been much more serious. The crash did damage both vehicles. The HELP truck operator, luckily, was able to leave the hospital later Saturday night.
It is the law in New York State to Slow Down and Move Over.
