NY Yankees Honor Hopewell Junction Teen

Jaclyn and Denis Murphy from Hopewell Junction got devastating news 10 years ago. According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Jaclyn, 19, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 9 and given a 30 percent chance of surviving.

The daughter and father were honored by the New York Yankees on Wednesday evening, each throwing out ceremonial first pitches at Yankee Stadium.
