In August of 2024, there was a true war hero on display at the Airshow.  The legendary C-47 Placid Lassie was on display.

The Placid Lassie was built in 1943 and played a critical role during World War II as it flew during the D-Day invasion on June 6th, 1944.

Fingers cross the C-47 returns in 2026.
