Are you a cheater? If you live in New York a new study says YES you are!

If someone asks you if you are a cheater it can be one of the most uncomfortable moments you can have in a conversation, right? Depending on who is asking and what they are referring to is extremely important as well but as far as cheaters overall, New York State is currently the 7th worst state for cheaters.

Cheaters in the U.S.

A new study by the folks at Solitaire Bliss asked 2,000 people about some of the things they would admit to cheating on in an effort to find out what states have the most cheaters. In their survey, they asked participants if they have ever fudged work hours, cheated on a partner, or a diet, on their taxes, cut a line, or ever "indulged in minor theft from stores" (not scanning something while using self-checkout or eating bulk candy or fruit before they’re weighed and paid for it). The light-hearted "cheat" had some interesting results with one state leading the way.

What State Has the Most Cheaters?

Texas topped the list as the state with the most "cheaters" with 51% of its residents admitting to cutting lines and 45% admitting to workplace deceits. Alabama has the highest percentage of diet cheaters at a staggering 76%. More than half of Nebraska residents admit to workplace cheating with 55% admitting they've done it. Iowa is the #1 state for relationship and video game cheats but where is New York?

What do New Yorkers Cheat On?

Overall, New York took the #7 spot on the list with 1 out of every 10 of us saying that we have cheated on our taxes, 76% of us admit to cheating on a diet, 46% cut lines, 40% lie about our age and 38% cheat while playing games. The study didn't say how New York did as far as relationship cheating, but hopefully, we landed at the bottom of the list, right?
