New York Craft Breweries are Starting to Open for Service
We have made it to June and we are all more than ready to enjoy the nice weather weekends in the Hudson Valley. Due to the COVID - 19 outbreak some of our rituals of Spring have been missed. Our first trip out to our favorite local brewery was put on hold until now.
Think NY Drink NY shared the news today that as of June 4th Some of New York's 460 plus Craft Breweries are permitted to serve beer again at the breweries but it must be outside. Scrolling through Facebook today I found a post that shared the news that craft beer fans have been waiting for since early March. Mugs up it is going to be a great weekend to check in with your favorite local brewery to see when they will be able to open. It could be as early as this weekend.
There will be some guidelines as you can imagine. All brews and food will have to be consumed at a table with people seated outside. Staff will have to wear masks and there will be other policies in place to ensure social distancing. I am sure it will be fun despite the rules. After all some of the curbside dining over the last few weeks has looked like more fun than actually eating inside the restaurant.
So it's good news for everyone looking to get out and enjoy the nice weather and a craft beer. Things for the second half of 2020 may still be a bit shaky but it is nice to see that some of our favorite weekend adventures are starting to return.
