Popular Fast Food Chain Opening a New Location in Poughkeepsie

A big name in fast food is officially expanding and preparing to open a new location in Poughkeepsie, New York.

For as long as I can remember, the Hudson Valley has been home to numerous rumors about new fast food restaurants opening in the area. Most of the rumors surround places that don't have many Hudson Valley locations, including White Castle and Chick-fil-A. A few weeks we confirmed that one of the rumored Chick-fil-A locations in Ulster County, NY, is no longer a rumor and is expected to happen sooner than later.

Unfortunately, if you've heard that White Castle is coming to the Hudson Valley, you've been lied to...LOL, BUT, we can officially put another fast food restaurant rumor to rest.

Chipotle is Opening a New Location in Poughkeepsie, NY

Fans of Chipotle can rejoice as it's been confirmed that a new Chipotle Mexican Grill is preparing to open a new restaurant in Poughkeepsie, NY. The new location with offer guests everything they come to love about Chipotle, including Mexican fare, design-your-own burritos, tacos, bowls, and more.

The new Chipotle, which is currently under construction, will be located at 718 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY. As you can see in the picture below, the signs are already up on the building and on the sign along Route 44. The restaurant is expected to open sometime in September, according to Google.

Chipotle Expands in the Hudson Valley, NY

Once it opens, it will be the second Poughkeepsie location, joining the already open restaurant in the Hudson Heritage Plaza off of Route 9 at 1555 Winslow Gate Rd, Unit 2. Chipotle also has restaurants open in Highland Falls, Kingston, Middletown, and Fishkill, NY.
