Nashville’s Dynamic Duet Duo

Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter are my all time favorite country duet duo. I loved them on their Grammy nominated "You and Tequila" off Kenny's Hemingway's Whiskey album and now "Wild Child", what a great song. I am going to predict a number one for them on this tune which is number 23 up from 27 this week on the American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks.

I actually fell in love with the Kenny - Grace combo when they released their first duet "You and Tequila". A song by Deana Carter and Matraca Berg. Both women had released it on their own on separate albums. Kenny discovered it back in 2003 when he and Deana were touring together, he had heard her sing the song every night in her show. So when he went looking for songs for his album Hemingway's Whiskey it made the cut. It is rumored that it reminded him of driving the Pacific Coast Highway.

"You and Tequila" never went to the top of the charts. It made number 3 on Billboard's Hot Country Chart and finished the year at Number 7. I think "Wild Child" could be where Kenny and Grace sing their first number one. We will have to follow the countdown for the next few weeks to see how it goes. In the mean time check out the video.
