‘Nashville’ Just Got a Little Hudson Valley Flair

If you were listening to the show yesterday, you would have heard us discussing Chris Carmack, from ABC's Nashville, and his recent engagement to fiddle player Erin Slaver. Erin also appears on Nashville as a background singer for Hayden Panettiere's character Juliette Barns.

In the real world, Erin has toured with and played backup for the best of them including Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Amy Grant and Vince Gill. She also happens to have ties to the Hudson Valley. After the story aired yesterday, a listener (thank, Beth!) sent me a Facebook message informing me that Ms. Slaver, future Mrs.Carmack, is from Sullivan County and that she would play at the Bethel Harvest Festival with her father all the time.
