Excitement is building for the 50th annual ACM awards this Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Texas, broadcast live on CBS at 8 pm. While this will be a major event, there's other cool stuff going on with some of our country artists this week.

Trisha Yearwood's latest cookbook 'Trisha's Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life' debuted at No. 7 on the New York Times best sellers list. It's her third cookbook, and one she says represents her balanced lifestyle between indulgence and discipline. You can also catch Trisha on the sixth season of Yearwood's cooking show 'Trisha's Southern Kitchen' kicking off this Saturday on the Food Network.

In case you missed this, Reba stopped by the Today Show and performed her latest single.  'Going out like that'

Chris Young recently appeared at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe to tape the ACM Sessions, an online concert series featuring artist performances and related interviews.

Our condolences to Marty Stuart on the April 9 passing of his father John Richard Stuart, 83. Marty has several hits in the early 90's, recorded with Johnny Cash and is known for his traditional style, and eclectic merging of rockabilly, honky tonk, and traditional country music.
