Ba-humbug.

We have about two weeks left until Christmas. A lot of folks are celebrating early, whether it be decorating their houses or baking holiday cookies. Others take a unique approach.

This Saturday kicks off the 2017 Santa Con in New York City. Santa Con is a bar crawl through the city while thousands of New Yorkers are dressed up like Santa. Seems like a whole lot of fun, right?

Well, in years past it has been more holiday dread than holiday cheer. When hundreds of "Santas" head down to the city on Metro North, it could get a little messy.

MTA is taking steps to avoid any unbecoming behavior on their trains this weekend.

"To maintain orderly travel and safe station and terminal operations during this weekend’s SantaCon event, alcohol will not be permitted on MTA Long Island Rail Road and MTA Metro-North Railroad trains," the MTA said in a press release.

Alcohol will also no be permitted in stations from noon on Saturday, Dec. 9 until noon on Dec. 10.

So if you plan to head to the city on Saturday, be respectful to others riding on the train with you, be safe and of course have fun.
