Moonrise Bagel: The Original Stuffed Bagel

The Hudson Valley and breakfast favorite, The Bagel, have a strong relationship.

Did you know Monticello, NY is considered the bagel capital of the world?! The Hudson Valley is also home to the original stuffed bagel... Moonrise Bagels.

Ali Chetkof Rhodes and Jeremy Rhodes created a delicious stuffed bagel in their Woodstock, NY apartment during COVID lockdown, then started sharing them with friends and family.

The creative new way to enjoy a bagel and stuffed filling took off and now they own 3 locations across the Hudson Valley in Woodstock, Poughkeepsie and Kingston.

Breakfast Burrito Stuffed Bagels, Anyone? Get Yours This Weekend

Moonrise Bagels is teaming up with another delicious local business to make a breakfast combo you'll be talking about for ages.

On August 9th and 10th Moonrise Bagels is teaming up with Downstate, a café in Newburgh. At Downstate, they serve "high quality coffee, tea and CDMX style food.

CDMX is a style of food that encapsulates traditional dishes found in Mexico City.

With that being said, Moonrise Bagels and Downstate will serve up a Carnitas Breakfast Burrito Stuffed Bagel at all Moonrise locations.

The Carnitas Breakfast Burrito Stuffed Bagel will feature: Downstate’s pork carnitas,
oaxacan black beans, cheese and scrambled eggs stuffed inside Moonrise Bagels signature bagels.

This mouthwatering concoction will be served with Downstate's salsa Guajillo and salsa verde.

Additionally Downstate will have their mobile espresso cart at the Kingston location on Saturday from 8 am until and on Sunday at the Woodstock location from 8 am until 3 pm.

Hudson Valley's Own Moonrise Bagels Gets All The Love on TikTok

Recently, Moonrise Bagels got some love on TikTok from one of the more popular foodie content creators.

Back in June, TikTok creator Elliott Norris took a trip to Woodstock, New York and while in town stumbled upon Moonrise Bagels.

He missed the breakfast bagels but chowed down on a Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Bagel. It was so good that he went back the next morning to get his hands on the bacon, egg and cheese and the sausage, egg and cheese Moonrise Bagels.
