The New York State Police (NYSP) have issued a missing child alert and are seeking the public's help to locate a missing 16-year-old girl who was reported missing by her family last month in Fishkill, NY.

Missing Teenager in Fishkill, New York

According to a press release, the NYSP is attempting to locate 16-year-old Evelyn R. Xol Caal, who was last seen on March 18, 2025. Police said the teenager was last seen packing her personal belongings into a bag and leaving her home on Hopewell Avenue in the town of Fishkill, NY, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Soon after the teen left the residence, family members reported her missing.

Police said that Evelyn was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and a gold necklace with heart-shaped pendants. Police didn't provide a reason why the teen left her home or any other information, but did share a few pictures, so please take a look...

A total of 12,114 children younger than 18 were reported missing to police across New York in 2024, with 95 percent of them reported as runaways. Last year, police closed 12,310 cases involving children reported missing in 2024 or years prior.
