Miranda Lambert and her new husband, Brendan Mcloughlin, will be living apart for much of their marriage, according to a new report.

According to TMZ, sources close to the couple have told the celebrity gossip site that although the 35-year-old country superstar and Mcloughlin are married, he will continue to live in New York City, where he works as a police officer, while she will live on her 400-acre estate outside of Nashville. The couple will travel back and forth to spend as much time together as they can while they pursue their separate careers, the sources explain.

Lambert stunned fans when she abruptly announced that she was married via Instagram on Saturday (Feb. 16). She shared a picture of the couple from their wedding, writing, "In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full," Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me."

Who Is Miranda Lambert's Husband Anyways?

According to various reports, the couple met in November of 2018 when Lambert appeared on Good Morning America, where Mcloughlin sometimes serves as security. They married in January. TMZ reports that Mcloughlin, who is around 28 years old according to his profile at Model Mayhem, also welcomed a child from a previous relationship in November, and though he was single by the time he met his now-wife, he has 50/50 custody of his child.

TMZ reports that the long-distance aspect of Lambert's marriage will probably only last for about a year, and that after that, Mcloughlin — who was recently promoted to sergeant — will reassess his job situation.
