Mario Batali Cuts Ties With His Hudson Valley Restaurants

Chef and restauranteur Mario Batali has cut ties with all his restaurants across the world amid sexual assault and harassment allegations.

The New York Times reports that Mario Batali, a chef and restauranteur, will no longer be part of the Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group. The Bastianich family of restaurateurs and Batali formally dissolved the company after 20 years of business after multiple women accused Batali of sexual assault and harassment.

A new company will operate the group's remaining 16 restaurants, according to the New York Times. It will be a under new management and financial structure. Bastianich Manuali and Joe Bastianich have bought Batali's shares in all the restaurants. Mario Batali is also selling his shares in Eataly, a gourmet Italian marketplace and restaurant group.

Batali used to have ties to a Hudson Valley restaurant and market, Tarry Lodge and Tarry Market in Port Chester.
