Ludivine the Dog Runs a Half Marathon While Others Play in the Snow

If you are a dog owner you are already aware that dogs love to go for car rides and walks. But what about a dog who wants to run a good old fashion marathon? Running with my dog would be a hazard. She is the kind that has to swerve all over the road and dive into ever ditch with half an inch of water. Not so for Ludivine apparently she is a great runner. She is the blood hound that made himself famous this past weekend in for running solo in a half marathon.

Ludivine the bloodhound was put out in her yard this past weekend just about the same time the Elkmont Half Marathon was going by the house. According to USA Today Ludivine decided to join the run and managed to finish with a time of 1:32;56 giving her a top 10 finish. The race organizers actually awarded her a medal and placed her 7th overall. Then they proceeded to call Ludivine's human to come by and pick her up at the finish line.

For the record my dog napped on the couch all weekend and refused to go out in the cold weather. Here's what some other dogs were doing this weekend in the northeast.
