According to the Daily Freeman, a woman who is employed at a Highland group home for developmentally disabled adults, that is run by the Taconic Developmental Disabilities Services Organization has been arrested.

Emily P. White, of New Paltz, was arrested and charged on Wednesday morning. She was charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, which is a misdemeanor, according to Police.

The alleged incident was reported to State Police by the group home which is located at 487 Route 299 in the Town of Lloyd.

After responding and investigating, Senior Investigator Diana Benoit told the Freeman that police found the victim reported that White sprayed the resident with cold water “because she felt he was acting inappropriately” and that the resident fell during the incident and suffered a dislocated shoulder and a cut.

After being arrested, White was released with a ticket to appear in Lloyd Town Court.
