New Line Dancing Event Happening in Poughkeepsie
Line dancing, food, live music, and fireworks will all be part of a great day of fun on the banks of the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The Hudson Valley has always been a great place for families to venture out on weekends for something fun to do. This time of year apple and pumpkin picking, along with visits to some of the area's best Halloween-themed attractions are family favorites but have you ever thought about taking the family out for a day of line dancing?
Line Dancing at Dutchess County Park in Poughkeepsie
For the 4th year in a row the folks at the Dutchess County Parks Department and Hudson Valleys New Country, 97.7/97.3/105.5 The Wolf are happy to announce that our yearly line dancing event is back for another year at a new Dutchess County park.

For the first 3 years, the "Boots by the Bandshell" event was held at Bowdoin Park in Wappinger Falls, NY. This year "Boots" will move up the Hudson River to Upper Landing Park located at 83 North Water Street in Poughkeepsie, NY.
FREE Event in Poughkeepsie
The newly named "Boots by the Hudson" will take place on Saturday, October 5th at Upper Landing Park and will be a day filled with live music, food trucks, line dancing, and fireworks. This FREE event will start at 3:30 p.m. with line dancing in the park along with dance lessons from DoubleDee Frank. All skill level dancers are welcome this year and The Wolf will be playing all your country and line dancing favorites until 5 p.m.
Live Music & Fireworks in Poughkeepsie
For the 4th year in a row, the country band Thunder Ridge will take the stage at 5 p.m. to entertain the crowd with some great live music. The night concludes with an amazing fireworks display on the banks of the Hudson River starting at approximately 7:45 p.m.
