While we're trying to wrap our heads around football season just starting and baseball season coming to an end, hockey always gets lost in the shuffle.

The hockey season kicked off a few weeks ago. Skates have been sharpened and sticks have been wrapped up with tape while future NHL stars get ready to take the ice.

If you're looking to get your young one started on the ice the NHL and New York Rangers are offering a Learn to Play Hockey program. 50 participants will be accepted into the program which is designed for first time players and builds responsibility and team work.
