The Kingston Water department has just issued a boil water advisory for the next 24-48 hours due to what they called a “inadequate disinfection.”

According to the Daily Freeman, customers in the entire city of Kingston are advised to bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute, then cool the water before using or to use bottled water certified for sale by the state Department of Health. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food, the Water Department stated.
