I remember when the Mid-Hudson Children's museum only had a small space in the South Hills Mall. I thought it was great what they offered then and I love what they have to offer now in their beautiful building on the historic Hudson Riverfront in Poughkeepsie.

When you walk in with your children, get ready for them to not know where to run to first. There are different interactive exhibits and activities for children of all ages on each level of the building, and this year, they want to kick off summer with you and your family.

On Friday, June 26, celebrate summer from 10-2 at the MHCM. There will be live music with Jay Mankita, local family-friendly businesses will have free giveaways and tons of hands-on activities, and summer themed art activity stations will be featured inside the museum, pavilion and on the deck facing the Hudson River. Plus, don’t miss exciting demos in the Skate Park, MHCM exhibits such as Imagination Playground!  Admission members: $8 per person and  Non-Members: $12 per person.

The MHCM stay true to their mission, to empower young children and their families by creating a community in which each and every child develops curiosity, confidence and self-worth. If you've never been there, or you haven't been there in a while, this summer is the perfect time to explore and experience the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum.
