Back on February 3rd 2014 tragedy struck at the Department of Environmental Protection office building at 71 Smith Ave, in Midtown Kingston.

That's the day when its alleged that David N. Reese from Gilboa fatally shot co-worker Aron J. Thomas. According to the Daily Freeman, Department of Environmental Protection Police Capt. Justin Kight testified Reese walked into his office while holding a cell phone, turned his back and raised his shirt, revealing a pistol that was in his back pocket. Kight, also told the Daily Freeman that Reese said, “I shot Aron twice.”

Two women and one man were selected as jurors Tuesday. The remaining nine jurors and two alternates are likely to be seated by Wednesday and the trail could begin as early as today and could last until next Wednesday.

If convicted of second degree murder, Reese could be sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison.
